Electronics Test Engineer
Description
As an Electronics Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and execution of acceptance tests for electronic systems used for flight controls, monitoring, and battery management. In this role, you will work as part of a team helping to manufacture and validate certified electronic components for the production of aircraft.
How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:
- Design board-level test fixtures and acceptance test procedures for aerospace electronics
- Coordinate with contract manufacturers for the production of circuit board assemblies
- Perform hardware requirements verification testing and document results
- Develop automated test tools and procedures
- Evaluate circuit and component grounding, bonding, and isolation
- Develop and execute wire harness tests
- Use standard lab probing and troubleshooting test equipment
- Develop and review environmental stress screening tests
- Perform advanced product quality planning
- Participate in supplier coordination meetings
Minimum Qualifications we are seeking:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
- 3+ years of experience in electronics test design or troubleshooting
Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:
- Experience with PCB layout and knowledge of assembly standards
- Experience in a production environment either aerospace, medical or industrial
- Experience with automated testers and formal acceptance testing
- Experience performing first-article inspections
- Experience working within GIT version control or other configuration management practices
- Experience with requirements-based design
- Understanding of or experience with component derating and obsolescence management
- Experience with C, C++, Python, Data Collection and Storage
- Pilot’s license
