Polarion Administrator
Position Summary:
The Polarion Administrator is responsible for managing administration, implementation and changes, and integration of the Polarion ALM instance. Polarion ALM is a key configuration management repository and process enforcement platform and needs an active and dedicated administrator to manage daily tasks and long-term implementation efforts. Robust and active management of the platform and the data within it is crucial to the process of obtaining and maintaining FAA Certification to produce, supply, and operate aircraft.
The Polarion Administrator works cross functionally with Airworthiness, Configuration Management, Systems Design, Software Design, Product Quality and other product development stakeholders providing critical support to manage user accounts, business processes, and life cycle data managed within Polarion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Manage User Training and Work Instructions to ensure business stakeholders have the knowledge and tools to effectively use the software.
? Administration and management of work item configuration, versioning, attributes, and workflows as required for various projects and processes managed within Polarion.
? Work with Configuration Management, Systems Engineering, and Software Engineering groups to set up streamlined processes within the software to meet business needs.
? Support Systems Engineering and Software Engineering in auditing and ensuring proper data connections and traceability in support of product development processes.
? Manage Polarion application, user access, and licensing assignments to meet business needs.
? Manage and oversee admin level data population, migration, and recovery operations as required.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
? Strong knowledge of Polarion administration and configuration, including workflows, custom fields, enumerations, read-only fields, forms, etc.
? Understanding of principles of requirements management, software development, and configuration management.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers.
? High energy, self-motivated, organized and detail oriented.
Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
? Strong problem solving and root cause corrective action investigation background.
? Knowledge of and experience with aerospace software change management processes, familiarity with DO-178C, SAE AS9100D and SAE AS9115A.
Work Environment:
The Polarion Administrator may work remotely but is expected to be available for onsite work occasionally in Vermont or North Carolina. Candidates should be available to be onsite for stays of 1-3 days a couple times per month, or as needed.
