SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER

About the Role
We are currently advancing though the product development cycle to production and are looking for a full time, on-site, Senior Process Engineer. The Senior Process Engineer is a member of the operations team that is responsible for the end-to- end manufacturing of products. The scope of this responsibility includes participation in the design, installation, maintenance and continues improvement of systems used for battery formulation, printing, device placement and packaging.
For established processes, the Process Engineer works in pursuit of continuous improvement. They oversee record keeping, quality testing, 5S and Lean concepts, equipment usage, process control, and other necessary manufacturing operations. For developing processes, the Process Engineer works to mitigate production risks and establish best practices prior to scaled production, furthering progress towards a mass- production scale.
General Requirements
The Process Engineer has the following general requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial, Mechanical, MEM, Systems Engineering or related STEM field with relevant work experience.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in an additive manufacturing, printed electronics, or related production environment highly desirable.
- Experience conducting scale-up and transfer of R&D processes to New Product Introduction (NPI) and then to Manufacturing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean Six Sigma topics (General statistics, DOE, MSA, Gauge R&R, MSA, OEE, AQL sampling, etc.)
- Experience with development and validation of new process
- Experience with creating and implementing SOPs, WIs and other quality documents
- Experience in developing and implementing QA/QC In-line
- Experience with sustaining validated process in manufacturing
- Experience with screen and/or flexographic printing systems desired.
Skills & Knowledge
The following are the critical skills needed for success as a Process Engineer.
- Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma topics (General statistics, DOE, MSA, Gauge R&R, MSA, OEE, AQL sampling, etc.)
- Knowledge of techniques for process – development, verification, validation & improvement
- Knowledge of vision systems, tracing systems, gauges, and other QA/QC tools
- Microsoft: Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Minitab/JMP
- Preferred: Python, LabView.
- Proven capability in evaluating and setting up in-line and off-line test methodologies
- Experience and knowledge of Roll-to-Roll systems highly desired
- Knowledge of Implementing ISO 9001 and Quality metrics within organization desired
