Our client a premier provider of SaaS-based application security solutions is seeking a Senior Market and Customer Research Manager. This job can be fully remote.
IN this position you will be responsible for market intelligence, competitive analysis, and the overall win/loss program for our client.
This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities as well as outstanding project management skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with strong attention to detail, capable of diving deep and working on every aspect of the project and the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working cross-functionally, can assess the needs of the business, make data-driven decisions, and deliver value back to the business. The candidate will need to be able to extract insights from data and be able to clearly communicate implications and recommendations to senior leadership.
The right candidate will have experience working with Product Management, Content Marketing, Field Marketing, Channel Marketing, Sales Enablement, Sales Operations, and Services to deliver high value impact to the business.
Developer / DevOps Expertise: Developers and DevOps Engineers are playing a vital role in the buying process of our solutions. You will understand them and represent their perspective on the product marketing team, in the company, and in the market.
Cross-Functional Partnership: You will build strong working relationships across teams to align teams on study design, keep stakeholders informed of study progress, and ensure key milestones and deliverables are completed on schedule.
Competitive Analysis: Your job is to have a pulse on the market, buyers, and competitors, understanding where they are today and where they are moving. You will own and raise the bar on our competitive intelligence program. You will help form our GTM strategy, influence our roadmap, and fuel the direction of our business.
Market Research: You will lead and execute research studies, including design of study materials, programming of online surveys, moderating qualitative discussions and running cross tabulations and banner reports. You will determine the most appropriate research methodology and techniques and developing research plans, costs and timelines.
Win/Loss Program: You will own our Win/Loss program and deal trends analysis, diving deep with customers and sellers, enabling us to make more informed and impactful decisions grounded by honest and timely buyer feedback.
Sales Enablement: You will provide and deliver market and competitive insight content to the sales and services organization in partnership with our enablement team.
Market-Facing Presence: While rooted in research, you excel in communications and have a love for technology. You will contribute to blogs, webinars, and speaking engagements. Expect travel up to 10-15% of the year.
6+ Years of years of quantitative and qualitative market research and analytics experience in a technology company
Bachelors or advanced degree in business, mathematics, or the sciences
- Cloud based or enterprise software
- A wide array of product and customer satisfaction research methodologies
- A hands-on approach to research and willingness to perform all aspects of the research process, from programming surveys to building tables
- Software development or communicating to developers
