Our client is seeking an innovative mid-level technical writer with experience in instructional design. The prospective candidate will work with a cross-functional team consisting of technical writers, clinical educators, a graphic artist and human factors specialists to create training materials for home patients and critical care nurses and educators in the field of dialysis.

The ideal candidate has excellent writing skills, can translate complex technical concepts into hands-on training modules, has a passion for teaching, and understands how to create a curriculum of training materials consisting of written and electronic media.


? Evaluates existing training materials against the needs of the intended audience and collaborates with subject matter experts in developing a cohesive training curriculum

? Translates complex information into easy-to-understand training modules using different media platforms

? Partners with human factors specialists and clinical educators to develop tests to determine the effectiveness of the training content/delivery to assess the audience’s comprehension

? Collaborates with technical writers to provide support in updating user documentation when needed

Education & Qualifications:

? Bachelor’s Degree in related field

? 3+ years of experience creating training/instructional content required

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills

? Proficient in Adobe FrameMaker, InDesign, Illustrator

? Familiar with eLearning tools

? Ability to work on multiple projects and successfully meet deadlines

? Ability to interact with cross-functional team members to influence and build consensus
