Come join us for this one hour presentation before getting to your work day. As Agile development becomes more widely adopted, technical writing groups are pressed to adapt. RSVP to Carol: carol@clearpnt.com
Technical Writing in an Agile Environment
As software development teams adopt Agile methodologies, what is required of the technical writers who are part of that team? How does Agile documentation differ from traditional documentation? What skills are needed? How does a Doc manager manage writers in this environment? What does success look like?
Christine Marini Sigman is a principal technical writer at Endeca Technologies, currently in its 55th Scrum iteration. Christine has an M.S. in Technical Communications from Northeastern and has spoken and written on Agile, DITA and other topics of professional interest.
Rick Catalano is the Director of Documentation at Endeca Technologies and has been a writer, information/tools architect, and Doc manager for over 20+ years since transitioning from an Engineering-based education and background. Rick was involved in the early DITA efforts at IBM before joining Endeca and has spoken on topic-based information development and real-time information delivery. Christine and Rick will share their experiences, answer questions and lead our discussion.
